END OF SESSION
U.S. Figure Skating’s Athlete Development Department & Committee is excited to let you know about the 2014 U.S. Figure Skating National Program Components Camp, April 25-27, 2014, in Charleston, S.C.
This camp will consist of:
- An athlete training camp focused on developing skills in the Program Components area for athletes planning to compete at juvenile or higher in the 2015 season.
- An IJS Tutorial & Coaches Education program geared towards juvenile – novice singles coaches.
- An “Icemen” Track for all boys and men competitors to have the experience of skating in a group of all boys!
In addition, a parallel Parents’ Education track will be held all day Saturday & Sunday, April 26-27. Since many parents that attend are often involved with club leadership, several club education/leadership break-out sessions will be offered throughout the weekend. They will be lead by Susi Wehrli-McLaughlin, Senior Director, Membership. All sessions will be free to parents of attending athletes, or $25 for any club officer that would like to attend on their own (without an athlete).
ALL eligible club members and coaches are encouraged to attend!
Attention Club members. IHNJFSC is the proud host of the 2015 North Atlantic Regionals. As we begin our preparations, we are in need of a commemorative logo. This will be the logo used on the announcement, the USFSA web site, as well as our site, and any USFSA apparel. Here is your chance to make history. You can design the logo! From now through February 28th, we are accepting your designs for consideration. The winner will receive a $100 Ice House gift card. In fact, we will select up to two winners and possibly combine elements of both designs. You can use any media for your art work. Computer generated, crayon, colored pencil, pen, etc. Submit your completed design in an envelop marked logo contest, and place it in the Club mail slot in the skating office. Be sure you include your name, email, and phone number. Here is the fine print. All designs will become the property of the Club. We reserve the right to alter the design to conform to formats needed for print, embroidery, and web. Art work must be the original creation of the Club member, no stock photography, or copyrighted material can be submitted. If you have any questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Happy creating.
